For the installation “Metamorfosis hacia la vacuidad” (Metamorphosis Toward Emptiness), I have developed a collection of paper sculptures representing insects in saturated colors. These pieces create a dialogue between my artistic practice and my professional work as a designer of 3D templates for packages, 3D paper objects and paper crafts. Using the leftover paper from these sculptures, I create semi-permanent abstract collages with both fixed and interchangeable elements, which can be altered by a viewer as part of the process. I have created several series on different surfaces and in various sizes.
